Steve is our Head of Civils & Groundworks and has been in the civils industry for 25 years. He started life as a trainee civil engineer and has since worked for some of the world leading construction companies in both the UK & Australia. He has a wealth of knowledge in all things Civils & Engineering having worked on schemes from £500k to £100m. Steve is a full member of the Charted Institute of Building, an achievement he is particularly proud of. In his personal time Steve enjoys SUP surfing, playing guitar & spending time with his family.
Dave is our Head of Technical & Commercial, with his 25 years’ experience across the construction industry in the South West Dave has a proven track record of delivering and managing projects in many sectors. Through commercial and project management roles Dave has worked alongside several of the region’s largest construction firms, consultancies, and suppliers, always with a focus on collaborative working and problem solving. Alongside spending time with his family Dave is also a keen golfer and still enjoys a regular game of 5-a-side.
Darren is our Area Manager for Cornwall. Darren has 24years in the industry covering all aspects across site working. Over the last 15 years he has been honing his skills to groundworks and civils. His interest outside of work include coaching youth rugby at his local club and when he’s not doing that he is spending as much time as he can with his family.
Keir is our Area Manager for Devon. Keir has spent a total of 23 years within the groundworks industry, gaining a vast amount of experience along the way. Before joining Ionic, Keir has worked for some of the biggest groundwork contractors in the South West. At home, Keir enjoys keeping active, going on holidays and spending time with his family.
Matt is our Assistant Quantity Surveyor having joined Ionic after gaining first-class honours in the Built Environment at the University of Plymouth. Previously, Matt has over 15 years within the construction industry, gaining experience within several roles. In his personal time, Matt enjoys both watching and participating in a variety of sports and spending time with his family.
